Daisi Lorents

Loometöötoad OÜ was born at the beginning of 2020 when the company’s founder, Daisi Lorents, felt ready to combine her social work background,  training and interest leader skills to offer the joy of DIY to various interest groups. Participants who need special attention are also welcome. Daisi considers the success of the workshop participant to be important. All workshops are put together on this principle.
Training, meetings, birthdays, reunions and simply spending free time together for groups and individuals in the form of a workshop bring people together and provide new knowledge and skills. The synergy that arises from collaboration is a good ground for creativity and new ideas.
Loometöötoad OÜ was created with its own funds on the territory of a country house outside the city, where the noise of the city does not reach and the surrounding nature offers an environment that is constantly changing according to the season. A cozy environment away from the city and the joy of working together are the main keywords in the feedback from the participants.
In the spring of 2024, a space became available in the basement of the Maarja Magdaleena Gildi, where the Creative Workshops moved in. The need for a space in the city arose from the desire of those interested to participate in the workshop with their group without having to travel. The space can accommodate a class of children at once to participate in the Christmas program or a study day, or for a team to conduct their own event. The activities offered by the Creative Workshops are also suitable for one of the activities of a day camp. A small play corner has been set up separately, where the smallest of the family can play while the older children of the family are crafting. Couples are welcome to spend quality time creating shared memories and giving each other gifts. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, you can continue to participate in:

• forest bathing;
• a workshop for making jewelry and key chains from polymer clay;
• casting candles;
• decorating objects in various techniques, etc.

Today, the range of workshops has expanded. The trainer himself says this: “A child comes to celebrate a birthday, we pour soap and make a package, and nice environmentally friendly gifts are made for themselves and their loved ones. Then someone in the group asks, I also want a birthday, what else can we do with you? I offer another activity for their party, because some of the participants in the workshop have already poured soap. Or the institution orders one workshop per month, so there are 12 workshops with different contents on offer.
In the Maarja Magdaleena Gild MTÜ building, under the guidance of OÜ Loometöötoad, you can:

• pour acrylic paint;
• pour soap, adding plants and essential oils;
• cast a base/container from gypsum resin;
• decorate cards and objects using the marbling technique;
• make a pocket mirror, fridge magnet, badge;
• assemble a safety pin pendant;
• create a jewelry set from semi-precious stones.

When it happens that you are walking in the old town of Pärnu, and the idea of ​​making something nice comes to mind, come to Mary Magdalene Guild and today is the day when the workshop door is open.
